Ultrasound diagnostics
Ultrasound diagnostics
Our centre offers a wide range of ultrasound (USG) examinations, which are a safe and non-invasive way to assess the condition of internal organs and tissues. With state-of-the-art equipment and experienced staff, these examinations allow for early detection of conditions and appropriate treatment.
Abdominal ultrasound
Abdominal ultrasound is used to assess the condition of the major internal organs, such as:
Liver
Pancreas
Kidneys
Spleen
This examination is recommended in cases of abdominal pain, abnormal laboratory results or suspected internal organ disease.
For whom is the research intended?
Ultrasound examinations are recommended for people who experience:
Abdominal pain, neck pain or unusual complaints
Symptoms suggestive of thyroid disease e.g. fatigue, sudden weight loss or gain
Enlargement of lymph nodes or tumours under the skin
Suspected hernias
Ultrasound of the thyroid and parathyroid glands
Examination of the thyroid gland allows the size, shape and structure of this organ to be assessed and detected:

Inflammatory lesions (e.g. Hashimoto's)

Parathyroid-related disorders

Neoplastic lesions and thyroid nodules
Ultrasound of lymph nodes and soft tissues
This examination allows assessment of the size, structure and any changes in lymph nodes and soft tissues. It is helpful in diagnosis:

Cysts, tumours and other soft tissue abnormalities

Lymph node enlargements

Inflammatory lesions and hernias
Study
The examination is painless and usually takes several minutes. The specialist applies a gel to the skin and then moves the camera head, allowing an image of the internal organs or tissues to be obtained on a monitor. Results are available immediately.
