Chemical ablation with VenaSeal tissue adhesive
The VenaSeal chemical ablation procedure is also known as varicose vein bonding. It involves inserting a catheter into a failing vein and applying a special tissue adhesive that glues the walls of the vein together. The procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes. It is carried out on an outpatient basis under ultrasound guidance, ensuring high precision and safety of the procedure. Local anaesthesia is only administered at the site where the kit is inserted into the vessel. After the procedure, compression stockings are worn. In many cases, however, this is not required.
Benefits:
- A precise, painless treatment with an efficacy of more than 97-98%.
- It successfully replaces thermal methods of varicose vein removal.
- Carried out in a comfortable environment for the patient.
- Allows an almost immediate return to fitness.
- It does not increase the risk of complications.
